1080p is the sweet spot for most streams and calls; 4K only helps if your upload and your audience's screens can use it. A great 1080p sensor beats a cheap 4K one every time.
60fps looks noticeably smoother for gaming and gesture-heavy content. For talking-head calls, 30fps is fine.
Cheap webcams struggle in dim rooms and hunt for focus. Look for good low-light handling and fast, quiet autofocus — or add lighting instead.
